Teaching Assistant Job Description

This is a rewarding opportunity to work alongside experienced instructors to help facilitate learning among cohorts of academically talented students. The teaching assistant will provide technical and logistical support both during and after class sessions. Additionally, the TA may be asked to help with students who have weaker English skills and/or difficulty adapting to the online learning environment.
The ideal candidate would have as minimum completed their junior year at university with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Candidates should have experience teaching or coaching youth, ideally in person and online. Specific skills relevant to the course topic are desirable and may be required, depending on the course.
The Teaching Assistant should have good organization and communication skills. They should be able to interact with students in a professional but emphatic manner.
The teaching assistant is expected to be available for an orientation session (1-2 hours) prior to the program start, and for both morning and afternoon sessions during the two-week course. All work will be performed online.
The main duties of the Teaching Assistant are:
Attend daily morning live online sessions. As requested by the instructor, the TA may lead breakout discussions, monitor chat, etc.
Support students during afternoon work periods.
Monitor and document student progress and communicate any issues to the instructor.
*   Assist the instructor with writing end of course evaluations for each student.
Attend and assist with events and orientations.
*   Provide additional support for students who need help due to weaker English language skills during the afternoon work period.

教学助理应该有良好的组织和沟通能力。他们应该能够以专业但强调的方式与学生互动。

教学助理预计将在课程开始前参加迎新课程（1-2小时），并在为期两周的课程中参加上午和下午的课程。所有工作都将在线进行。

助教的主要职责是：

参加每天上午的在线直播会议。根据讲师的要求，TA可以领导分组讨论、监控聊天等。

在下午的工作期间为学生提供支持。

监控和记录学生的进度，并将任何问题传达给讲师。

•协助讲师为每个学生撰写课程结束评估。

参加并协助活动和情况介绍。

•为下午工作期间因英语语言能力较弱而需要帮助的学生提供额外支持。
